What changed in the latest version
14 added · 14 removedPlain-language change summary
In the updated version of Bill HB 793, several references to specific sections in the Criminal Code have been changed, specifically removing one reference, "12-3.2." This change aims to refine the criteria for when an order of protection can be requested by the state's attorneys in cases involving domestic violence. By clarifying the sections of the law relevant to orders of protection, the bill seeks to improve the legal process for victims and enhance their access to protection.
