Plain-language change summary

The recent changes to Bill SB 1895 clarify that if a person is acquitted of murdering someone, they are still presumed to have intentionally caused that person's death when it comes to inheriting their property. This includes not only traditional inheritance but now also applies to tenancy rights. This amendment is significant because it reinforces the principle that individuals who intentionally harm others should not benefit from their actions, thus protecting the rights of the decedent's rightful heirs.
