Plain-language change summary

The bill HB 2004 has been revised to focus specifically on providing vision care for students rather than general health care. It now emphasizes identifying students who need vision examinations and glasses, ensuring these services will be offered at little to no cost. This change is important because it narrows the program's scope, allowing for more targeted support for students with vision needs, addressing a critical area of health care that can impact their learning and development.
