The amendments to HR 1571 made small but significant updates to the language used in the bill. Specifically, the terms "legislative measure" and "measure bill" were refined to just "bill" or "resolution." This change streamlines the document and clarifies that the rules apply to all bills and resolutions without the extra terminology. This matters because clearer language can help prevent confusion about what types of legislation the rules pertain to when they are being reviewed or voted on.
