Plain-language change summary

The recent amendment to SB 538 added provisions that allow for the suspension of licenses for emergency medical services (EMS) providers and acupuncturists who have been ordered by a court to pay restitution but have failed to do so. This means that if these professionals do not fulfill their restitution obligations, they cannot practice until they pay what they owe. This change emphasizes accountability and ensures that individuals who have been affected by wrongdoing receive the compensation they are entitled to.
