What changed in the latest version

The recent amendments to Bill HB 690 update the list of counties included under the Eastern Illinois Economic Development Authority. Specifically, counties such as Ford, Iroquois, and Champaign were removed from the original list, while Vermilion, Douglas, Moultrie, Shelby, Coles, and Edgar were retained. This change is significant because it refines the focus of the Authority's economic development efforts, potentially allowing for more tailored strategies and resources for the remaining counties. By concentrating efforts on a smaller group of counties, the Authority may be better equipped to enhance economic conditions in those regions.
