What changed in the latest version
15 added · 50 removedPlain-language change summary
The updated version of Bill SB 7 introduces new provisions allowing for the certification of health care professionals in "health care enterprise zones" and "specialty shortage zones." Specifically, it adds the requirement that certain professionals, such as dentists and optometrists, can apply for tax credits if they practice in these designated areas for a significant portion of the year. This change is important because it aims to incentivize medical professionals to work in regions that lack adequate health care services, ultimately improving access to care for underserved populations.
