Plain-language change summary

The recent amendments to Bill SB 1124 introduce stricter requirements for renting motor vehicles and motorcycles in Illinois. Specifically, the changes mandate that renters must verify the driver's license of the individual renting or operating the vehicle, ensuring they are licensed according to state laws. This is important because it helps to prevent unqualified drivers from renting vehicles, promoting safety on the roads. By clarifying these requirements, the bill aims to enhance accountability among rental businesses and protect public safety.
