Plain-language change summary

The amendment to Bill HB 760 updates the reimbursement schedule for funeral and cremation services by adding specific dates in 2006 and 2007 for the Department to increase the minimum allowable reimbursement amounts. This change is important because it ensures that support for families facing funeral expenses keeps pace with rising costs over these years, promoting dignity and affordability in burial or cremation services. Additionally, the removal of outdated language from 2005 clarifies that the adjustments will now be made on a more relevant timeline, better reflecting current economic conditions.
