Plain-language change summary

The updated version of SB 458 includes several new provisions while removing some older references related to the Juvenile Court Act and the Code of Criminal Procedure. These changes clarify and modernize the law, making it more relevant to current legal practices and addressing contemporary issues in juvenile justice. This matters because it aims to improve the handling of juvenile cases, potentially leading to better outcomes for young offenders and the justice system as a whole.
