Plain-language change summary

The bill HB 2317 was amended to clarify how local bank accounts can be used by the Department of Natural Resources. It now specifies that these accounts can temporarily hold income from department properties and that funds over $500 must be deposited weekly with the State Treasurer. Additionally, a special provision was added for the World Shooting and Recreational Complex, allowing it to hold income from shooting events and pay out cash prizes without following the regular deposit requirements. These changes help ensure better financial management and transparency for the Department while accommodating specific operational needs of the shooting complex.
