Plain-language change summary

The amendment to Bill SB 2272 now requires that 5% of certain fees collected by the circuit court clerk be deposited into a special fund called the Circuit Court Clerk Operation and Administrative Fund. This fund will help cover the costs associated with collecting and managing drug court fees. This change matters because it provides financial support specifically for the administrative tasks of the clerk's office, ensuring that these responsibilities can be met effectively while also helping to fund the broader court system in the county.
