Bill Text
What changed in the latest version
155 added · 148 removedPlain-language change summary
The updated version of the bill HB 211 makes modifications to the provisions governing Health Maintenance Organizations (HMOs) under the Illinois Insurance Code. Specifically, it adds several detailed sections related to the regulations that HMOs must follow. This is important because it ensures that HMOs are in compliance with more comprehensive insurance regulations, which could enhance consumer protections and improve the overall quality of health care services. The changes aim to clarify and strengthen the accountability of HMOs, potentially leading to better health outcomes for consumers.
