Plain-language change summary

The changes in Bill HB 2577 clarify that an employee's decision to quit their job due to dangerous work conditions will not be considered a strike, which emphasizes the protection of workers' rights in hazardous situations. Additionally, the bill has updated the threshold for local governments to fall under its provisions, increasing the employee count from fewer than 5 to fewer than 35 employees. This means more smaller local governments may not be subject to certain labor regulations, potentially impacting worker protections in those areas.
