What changed in the latest version
33 added · 50 removedPlain-language change summary
The updated version of Bill HB 6806 now includes provisions for tax deductions related to unreimbursed travel, lodging, and lost wages incurred by individuals who donate their organs. Previously, specific details about how often this deduction could be claimed were unclear. This clarity matters because it encourages more people to consider organ donation, knowing they can receive financial assistance for the costs associated with the process. By simplifying the language and specifying the deduction's limits, the bill aims to make the process more appealing and accessible for potential donors.
