Plain-language change summary

The amendment to Bill HB 1017 introduces a new section that allows for the creation of trusts specifically for the care of domestic or pet animals. This means that pet owners can set aside funds that must be used exclusively for the care of their pets, ensuring they are financially supported even after the owner's passing. This change matters because it provides legal protection for pets and offers peace of mind to owners who want to ensure their animals are cared for according to their wishes.
