The revised version of Bill SB 155 updates provisions related to payment practices in construction contracts. It adds a requirement that contractors pay subcontractors and material suppliers proportionally based on the work completed, ensuring fair distribution of funds. This change matters because it helps to protect smaller contractors and suppliers from being underpaid, promoting financial stability within the construction industry.
