Plain-language change summary

The recent amendments to Bill HB 413 clarify the definition of a "school bus" by specifying which vehicles qualify and which do not. The changes emphasize that only certain vehicles used for transporting students must meet the school bus criteria, excluding those involved in regular transportation routes or charter services. This matters because it streamlines regulations for school transportation and ensures that vehicles specifically designated for student transport meet safety standards, while also allowing more flexibility for schools using other types of transportation for specific events.
