The recent amendments to Bill HB 3198 removed specific wording about the Inspector General's authority to recommend actions against certain facilities based on recommendations. This change clarifies the Inspector General's role and limits the requirements for actions, which is significant because it may streamline the process for enforcing sanctions against facilities that are not meeting standards for resident protection. Overall, it aims to enhance the responsiveness of oversight in mental health and developmental disability services.
