The recent amendment to SB 475 has made two significant changes. First, it simplifies the title of the Illinois Insurance Code without altering its content, which mostly serves to clarify what the law is known as. Second, it removes various references to specific insurance benefits that were previously outlined, streamlining the bill but potentially leaving health benefit requirements less defined. This change is important because it could impact how health benefits are administered and perceived, making it crucial for stakeholders to be aware of the new, simplified structure and its implications.
