Plain-language change summary

The recent amendments to SB 1332 clarify and expand the definition of "health care facilities" to include a wider range of institutions, specifically adding ambulatory surgical treatment centers and kidney disease treatment centers. This change is significant because it ensures that more types of health facilities are regulated and monitored under the Illinois Health Facilities Planning Act, which can help improve overall healthcare quality and accessibility in the state. By updating the language, the bill aims to address current health needs and ensure that all relevant facilities are held to the same standards.
