The recent amendment to HB 3060 simplifies the language regarding health benefits related to post-mastectomy care by removing specific references to numerous sections of the Illinois Insurance Code. This change aims to streamline the requirements, making it clearer for both counties and insurance providers about the necessary coverage for employees undergoing mastectomy. By reducing complexity, the goal is to ensure better understanding and compliance with the health benefits mandated for state employees and self-insured counties. Overall, this amendment helps improve access to essential post-mastectomy care without unnecessary legal jargon.
