Plain-language change summary

The recent amendments to HB 6747 enhance the authority of the Commissioner regarding the removal of officers and directors from savings banks. Specifically, it now includes the ability to act against individuals based on final orders issued not just by federal insurers and regulators like the Office of the Comptroller, but also by the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve and other financial regulators. This change is significant because it strengthens the regulatory framework, allowing for swift actions against individuals who engage in violations that threaten the stability and integrity of savings banks.
