Plain-language change summary

The updated version of SB 2858 now requires that internet service providers in Illinois must offer a secure online method for consumers to cancel their service without having to call or send mail. Previously, the law included a requirement for providers to give consumers at least 30 days' advance notice before their service automatically renewed, but this section was removed. This change simplifies the cancellation process for consumers, making it easier for them to manage their subscriptions and avoid unwanted charges.
