The amendment to Bill SB 2367 introduces a new section that allows the Department of Public Aid to collaborate with the Department on Aging to provide services addressing elder abuse, neglect, and long-term care advocacy for individuals receiving medical assistance. This change is important because it aims to enhance protections for vulnerable elder populations, ensuring they have access to necessary support and resources. Additionally, the amendment eliminates some previously existing language that was more technical in nature, streamlining the focus of the bill towards these critical services for seniors.
