The updated version of Bill SB 157 has made some changes regarding the requirements for monuments placed on surveyed land. Specifically, it clarifies that monuments must now be made of stone or reinforced concrete and must be set at specific points on the property, ensuring better accuracy and stability. This matters because it strengthens property boundary definitions, helping to prevent disputes and improve land management practices.
