Plain-language change summary

The amendments to Bill SB 3064 change the timeline for political party county conventions and the canvassing process following elections. Specifically, it shortens the period for county canvassing boards to complete their work from 21 days to 7 days after an election, and it adjusts the canvassing period for other boards to 31 days, reducing the previous timeframe. These changes are significant because they aim to speed up the election results process, making it quicker for parties and the public to understand the outcomes of elections.
