Plain-language change summary

The changes made to Bill HB 4200 clarify the role of professionals in the field of genetics, specifically focusing on genetic counselors rather than a broader category of medical genetics professionals. By emphasizing genetic counselors, the bill aims to ensure that these specialists are properly regulated and have the necessary qualifications, training, and experience. This matters because it enhances the quality of genetic counseling services available to families, helping them receive accurate and supportive care regarding genetic health issues.
