Plain-language change summary

The updated version of Bill SB 461 removes specific references to contractors and grantees that have opposed unionization. It also emphasizes a policy that prohibits the use of state funding to influence employees' decisions about union representation. This change matters because it aims to protect workers' rights and ensure that taxpayer money is directed toward providing services rather than being used for anti-union campaigns, ultimately promoting a stable and effective workforce in Illinois.
