What changed in the latest version

The revised version of SB 566 adds a new emphasis on planning for students who may need home-based support services as they transition to adulthood. Specifically, it details that their individualized education programs must include a strategy for determining eligibility, enrolling them in necessary services, and effectively utilizing those services once they leave the school system. This change is important because it ensures that students with disabilities have clear pathways and support in place as they move into adult life, helping to better integrate them into community services.
