Plain-language change summary

The bill HB 812 has amended the definition of "wages" in relation to employment by updating the income thresholds exempt from wage calculations. Specifically, it raises the cap on the amount of earnings considered for different calendar years from $6,000 to $7,000, and it specifies how wages will be calculated for the first quarter of 1983. This change matters because it can affect unemployment benefits and how much individuals might receive during those years, ensuring that more earnings are accounted for in wage assessments.
