WINFIELD of the 10th Dist., Chairperson of the Committee on the part of the Senate, that the substitute joint resolution ought to be adopted.
RESOLUTION CONCERNING THE DECISION OF THE CLAIMS COMMISSIONER CONCERNING THE CLAIM AGAINST THE STATE OF THE ESTATE OF RYAN MARZI, ADMINISTRATOR RICHARD MARZI CONFIRMING THE DECISION, IN PART, AND VACATING THE AWARD AND GRANTING PERMISSION TO SUE THE STATE, IN PART.
That (1) the decision of the Claims Commissioner, file number 26927 of said commissioner, ordering the denial of the claim, in part, against the state of Estate of Ryan Marzi, Administrator Richard Marzi, is confirmed, and (2) an award of twenty thousand dollars, payable from the appropriation to the adjudicated claims account of the General Fund, be granted to said claimant on said claim in excess of fifty thousand dollars against the state, in part, is accepted and that payment of said amount to said claimant is ordered.
That (1) the decision of the Claims Commissioner, file number 26927 of said commissioner, ordering the denial of the claim, in part, against the state of the Estate of Ryan Marzi, Administrator Richard Marzi, is confirmed, and (2) the General Assembly, having considered said claim and the order for an award in the amount of twenty thousand dollars for part of said claim, vacates the award and grants the claimant permission to sue the state, in accordance with the provisions of subsection (c) of section 4-159a of the general statutes, in furtherance of the part of said claim for which the award is vacated.
