F L O R I D A H O U S E O F R E P R E S E N T A T I V E S HBCS/HB 391 2025 A bill to be entitled An act relating to faith-based content in batterers' intervention programs;
specifying that batterers' intervention programs may include faith-based content;activities, but may not require participation in such activities;
directing the Department of Children and Families to amend a specified rule to conform;
Paragraph (d)(f) ofis added to subsection (1) of section 741.325, Florida Statutes, is amended to read:
(d)(f) TheA program contentmay shalloffer besupplemental basedfaith-based onactivities ato cognitiveparticipants; behavioral therapy model or psychoeducational model that addresses tactics of power and control by one person over another.
Programhowever, contentparticipation in such activities may includenot faith-basedbe components.required as part of the program.
The Department of Children and Families shall repeal rule 65H-2.017(2)(e), Florida Administrative Code, to conform to this act.
