Plain-language change summary

The amended version of HB 991 removes the mention of secure login credentials from the exemption regarding cellular telephone numbers collected by the Department of Financial Services. This change clarifies that only cellular telephone numbers are protected from public disclosure, which helps safeguard personal contact information without extending similar protections to login credentials. This matters because it focuses on privacy while still allowing the department to fulfill its regulatory duties without the burden of disclosing sensitive login information.
