Plain-language change summary

The updated version of Bill HB 343 focuses specifically on the licensing requirements for marriage and family therapists, while removing references to clinical social workers and mental health counselors. This narrow focus aims to clarify and streamline the process for those seeking to become licensed marriage and family therapists in Florida. The changes matter because they help ensure that applicants have the right educational background and qualifications necessary to provide effective therapy services, which can ultimately improve mental health support for individuals and families.
