What changed in the latest version
318 added · 378 removedPlain-language change summary
The updated version of SB 38 introduces clearer terminology for key concepts like "camera monitoring system," and establishes that school districts can actively install and maintain these systems on school buses. It also permits school districts to partner with private vendors for this purpose. These changes are important because they provide a structured framework for how schools can enforce laws related to stop arm violations, enhancing student safety by potentially reducing violations.
