Summary
Create a new section of KRS Chapter 156 to allow the Kentucky Department of Education to enter into an agreement with a building and construction trade organization to develop a training program for school counselors on building and construction trades; provide professional development credit to school counselors and teachers, if resources allow, who participate in the program; require the department to include the training program on the electronic consumer bulletin board.

(1) The Kentucky Department of Education may enter into an agreement with aany building and construction trade organization to develop a training program for school counselors providing services to students in the Commonwealth.
and (b) Job opportunitiesopportunities, andpre-apprenticeships, availableapprenticeships, apprenticeships for boilermakers, electrical workers, bricklayers, insulators, laborers, iron workers, plumbers and pipefitters,pathways roofers,within plasterersthe andbuilding cement masons, sheet metal workers, painters and glazers,construction elevatortrade constructors,industry. operating engineers, and teamsters.
(3) The department shall include the training program created in this section on the electronic consumer bulletin board created pursuant to KRS 156.095(9) if Page 1 of 2 XXXX 2/20/2024 3:04 PM Jacketed UNOFFICIAL COPY 24 RS BR 2004 requested by the training program.
