What changed in the latest version

The updated version of SB 598 now specifies that firearms are prohibited on the property of religious institutions only when they contain a school, rather than during religious services and events. This change means that firearms could potentially be allowed during religious activities, as long as the event does not coincide with school functions. This amendment matters because it could affect safety regulations in schools located on shared property with religious institutions.
