What changed in the latest version

The revised version of Bill HB 993 clarifies the conditions under which a spouse can request that legal documents be served to another person living in the same household. The updated language ensures that this service can occur if the spouse is involved in the legal action and the two parties share the same residence, regardless of the county where the service is being delivered. This change matters because it streamlines the legal process for serving documents, making it easier for individuals involved in domestic situations to ensure they receive important information related to legal matters.
