What changed in the latest version
275 added · 263 removedPlain-language change summary
The latest version of HB 679 includes minor edits, specifically adding the phrase “manager or other licensed pharmacist” to clarify who can visit remote dispensing site pharmacies. Additionally, it maintains the requirement for registered pharmacy technicians working at these sites but still prevents them from performing sterile or nonsterile compounding. The bill also allows a Florida licensed pharmacist to manage multiple remote pharmacies under certain conditions. These changes are important as they help define roles and responsibilities in the pharmacy system, ensuring that patients receive safe and appropriate care.
