Plain-language change summary

The recently amended bill SB 407 has replaced the phrase "Hartford-New Britain" with "New Britain to Hartford," clarifying the project's title. Additionally, the requirement for the Commissioner of Transportation to submit biannual reports on the busway’s performance and financials has been removed, along with the need for General Assembly approval for any expansions. These changes simplify the project oversight process, but they also limit legislative input on the busway's operation and future developments.
