The recent amendment to Bill SB 156 now allows eligible voters to request absentee ballots electronically through the Secretary of the State’s website. This change simplifies the process for voters, making it more accessible and convenient, especially for those who may have difficulty with traditional ballot requests. By removing unnecessary language from previous drafts, the bill is clearer and more focused on improving voter access. This matters because it supports increased participation in elections by making it easier for people to vote from home.
