Plain-language change summary

The recent changes to Bill SB 63 involve the removal of some language that previously addressed the powers of supporters in decision-making agreements. Specifically, it took out the part related to how supporters may exceed or improperly exercise their authority. These changes are important because they clarify the authority of supporters, making it simpler for individuals with disabilities to engage in supported decision-making without concerns about overreach. This streamlining could improve access to support for those individuals, ensuring that their rights and choices are more clearly protected.
