What changed in the latest version

The final version of SB 564 includes clarifications that municipalities cannot impose limits on maximum road lengths or caps on housing lots on dead-end streets, as long as these meet the state fire code. Additionally, it now explicitly allows for utilities to be placed in certain conservation areas, provided permits are obtained. This change is significant because it aims to address New Hampshire’s housing shortage by reducing unnecessary local regulations that drive up development costs and hinder the supply of affordable housing.
