What changed in the latest version
5 added · 14 removedPlain-language change summary
The amendment to SB 385 specifies that a motor vehicle operator who has been assessed less than five points can request to participate in a retraining program, whereas the previous version allowed participation only for those assessed four or more points. This change broadens access to the retraining program, potentially providing more operators the opportunity to improve their driving skills. Additionally, there is no longer a limit on the age of infractions that would affect the issuance or renewal of a driver's license, meaning that older violations (ten years or more) cannot be used to deny this process.
