The amendment changes a provision that previously prohibited insurers from requiring dentists to accept reimbursement through electronic funds transfers or virtual credit cards. Instead, the new text allows dentists the option to refuse such forms of reimbursement at least once annually. This adjustment enables licensed dentists to choose their method of reimbursement for covered dental services throughout the calendar year.
