Plain-language change summary

The amendments to HB 5448 change the agency responsible for conducting the study from the Department of Education to the Labor Department, which will now consult with the Board of Regents for Higher Education and the Department of Education. Additionally, the scope of the study has been slightly modified to ensure it specifically examines whether educational programs are meeting workforce needs alongside preparing students for careers. This shift may impact who oversees the study and how it aligns education with industry needs.
