The amendment to Bill HB 5333 changes the language regarding how the Commissioner of Children and Families must notify employers of individuals placed on the child abuse and neglect registry. The term "direct contact with children" has been replaced with "regular contact with children." This change clarifies the types of employment situations that trigger the notification requirement, which may affect how employers manage individuals working with children.
