Plain-language change summary

The amendment changes the focus of the bill from an overview of economic development programs by the Department of Economic and Community Development to requirements for businesses receiving financial assistance from the state. Now, these businesses must make reasonable efforts to market Connecticut and include the state's name in their marketing materials if they received assistance under specific conditions after July 1, 2018. This change highlights the expectation that state-funded businesses contribute to promoting Connecticut as part of their marketing efforts.
