Plain-language change summary

The amendment to Bill SB 206 changes the terms "employee" and "employees" to "individual" and "individuals" respectively, ensuring that the language is consistent throughout. It specifies that eligible pregnant individuals can enroll in health insurance within thirty days of pregnancy certification, with coverage effective from the first of the month of that certification. This emphasizes that the enrollment opportunity is available for individuals and dependents, potentially broadening access to health insurance for those who meet the criteria.
